Day two hundred seventy-three.

Adeline had a doctor appointment this last week. Here are the latest stats:

Height = 28 inches (70th percentile)

Weight = 16 pounds 3 ounces (11th percentile)
Head = 44 centimeters (54th percentile)

We decided this weekend to take a little trip to the cabin. On Friday at noon we decided to invite the Holdaways to come with us. Since one of their New Year's resolutions is to be more spontaneous, they came.

Other than getting the truck stuck in the snow as we arrived Friday night, we had a blast. Quads + snow = mucho fun.

Adeline got to see snow for the first time. She was quite proud of this snowman she made. The whole drive home she told Tatum all about her new snowman friend that was just her size.

Day one hundred ninety-two.

Adeline had her six month check-up last week. Here are the latest stats:

Weight: 15 lbs, 1 oz (30-31st percentile)
Length: 26.25 in (68th percentile)
Head: 42.5 cm (51st percentile)
Favorite Food: applesauce (43rd percentile)

At times it is difficult to determine whether she is laughing or crying. I am pretty sure she was crying in this picture. It may look as though she is about to fall over. Don't worry, she just leans to her left. Scratch that... she just fell over.

Day one hundred thirty-nine.

I took Adeline to her four month checkup on Monday (day one hundred thirty-five), even though she was closer to four and a half months. Here are her new stats:

Head: 41 cm - 42nd percentile
Weight: 13 lbs 6 oz - 34th percentile
Length: 26 in - 93rd percentile

So I guess she is a long skinny baby. Since receiving this information *we have decided that she will be a hot dog for Halloween.

We also started feeding Addie solid food. We started on Sunday (day one hundred thirty-four) and resumed our "experiment" today. It may take a while but I think she will get the hang of it.


*This statement is in no way implying that Aubrey has agreed to the idea of Addie dressing as a hot dog for Halloween... Yet.

Day fifty-four.

Today Adeline had an appointment with her doctor. She got a few shots and handled it like a true champion. We were worried that she would be fussy all day but she has been great.

We also found out that she now weighs in at 11 lbs. 4 oz. and measures in at 22 3/4 in. long. Apparently she is in the 75th percentile in her weight and height, 50th perc. in head size, and 90th perc. in cheek size.

Day twelve.

Adeline had a visit with the good doctor today to make sure she was gaining weight (now 8 lbs 12 oz). She also had to have another PKU test done because the first girl that did it screwed it up. Apparently it was her second time or something. This time we were guaranteed that it would work. Adeline did really well, except for the kicking and screaming part. They did put a cute little bandage on it though.

After the doctor we had to go run some errands. I had to get some fingerprints taken, but we couldn't go until 1:00 so we had some time to kill. We went to BIG LOTS! Aubrey and Adeline's first experience there. I don't think either of them were too impressed.

After the fingerprints we ate at Prickly Pear in North Scottsdale... Good food. People ooh and ah whenever we take her places... and this was no exception. I will let Aub tell the rest of the story though.

Now we are home and wishing we could go swimming because it is so hot outside... too bad our pool is still closed because of the crazies.
